The capacity to determine elements with sensitive and non-destructive XRF technique directly from the surface of samples like drill cores makes a good basis for detailed sample interpretation. The analyses are performed without touching the samples, and leaves the samples essentially unchanged. In combination with the large amount of quality information that can be retrieved and the high sample throughput, this has made XRF scanning with Itrax a natural starting point for further work on samples in many applications.

The Itrax XRF Corescanner is a versatile research tool for analysis of metals from Magnesium to Uranium in drill cores and sediment cores. It combines XRF multi element analysis with x-ray radiography, creating a very useful combination that adds to the information that can be gathered from samples, especially when laminated sediment cores are in focus.
The Itrax XRF Scanner MC is our XRF scanner for very fast and accurate routine scanning of elements in drill cores, whether they are mineral cores or sedimentary material for petroleum industry. This instrument can quantify the amount of all elements from Sodium to Uranium in concentrations from bulk level, and for most elements down to the trace level. It can be loaded with a set of cores for batch scanning.
